We are Covid Secure....

As an early years provider we ensure to offer a continuum of very high standards of practice of childcare and education. The fundamental principles to be outlined in our practice are set out to ensure physical distancing where possible, as well as the implementation of good hygiene practices to avoid coming into contact with infected children and adults or anyone displaying symptoms. We have protective measures in place for children, parents and staff to ensure the risk of transmission is reduced to the best of our ability.  We will continue to follow and adhere to our policies and procedures as long as they do not conflict with our Coronavirus Policy and will be guided by the EYFS as best as we can. The main areas we will be considering are:

• Minimising contact with individuals who are unwell

• Maintaining personal and respiratory hygiene (handwashing, ‘catch it, kill it, bin it’)

• Ensuring cleanliness of the environment (especially frequently touched surfaces)

• Minimising general contact and mixing (creating ‘bubbles’ and limiting numbers)

• The use of Protective and Personal Equipment (PPE)

• Testing

Government Funding for two-year-olds

Funding is available for two-year-olds if you meet the criteria set out by Cambridgeshire County Council. For more information, please speak to a member of our team.

Government Funding for three- and four-year-olds

Parkhall Pre-School Early Education Grant funding is provided by the government to ensure that all children are able to access high-quality, free Early Years Education prior to starting school. A child becomes eligible for the Early Education Grant in the term following their third birthday.

Flexibility

Parkhall Pre-School offers parents the greatest amount of flexibility in the way that two-year-old funding and Early Education Grant funding is accessed. The government has now launched its new scheme where parents and carers may be entitled to 30 Hours Free Childcare. We are pleased to confirm we are accepting children who have been awarded this entitlement (terms and conditions apply). For more information, please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
